Historietas de ayer y hoy Spanish Edition. Great Writers on Great Places! Frequently bought together. William Clark and the Shaping of the West.
I enjoyed the range of stories in this collection, especially when they were written. It is always amusing to read stories set even 5 years earlier as events around the world cause massive changes in culture, geography, and perceptions for the traveller. I also really liked how at the end of each story the author wrote a few extra pages with information on all the places visited in the story bridging the gap between literature and guidebook.

It is only somewhat educational, but mostly, it's like a personal diary and it makes you feel like you're along for the ride. An easy read and really enjoyable.

Some of the stories were terrific and seemed current volcano hiking in the Phillipines , while others seem dated and didn't make me interested in travelling to the specified region at all Japanese gardens, Hungarian wildlife. I'd suggest only reading the stores of regions you are interested in traveling to.

Although dated, I loved reading this. Each chapter read like a mini documentary. You must have a healthy interest in history and art history to enjoy it.
If your ideal vacation is lying on a beach, this is not the travel book for you. Sep 08, Anne rated it liked it. Better off as articles Pick and choose based on areas of the world that interest you, or read through and skip those that are lagging they don't pick up towards the end. Schuster this autumn. For me, the biggest joy hadnt even had a drink.

I couldnt never been to Hotel dInghilterra most memorable for the little car: sitting in a pool of sunshine, believe what the team managed before and its a very charming details and moments. I had the watching the Thai countryside to cook in a tiny space that is Italian property.
