You learn it the way children learn grammar-- without studying rules! I'm sure you'll agree that sounds more interesting than memorizing lists of grammar and vocabulary. Think about it-- children are the best English learners in the world.
Children don't study grammar rules and they don't memorize word lists. Yet, they learn to speak English with a perfect accent and excellent grammar. Aren't you tired of the same old textbook methods? Aren't you tired of feeling nervous when you speak English? Ask questions.
Download the first lesson set.
You now have a link to the download page. Save the email and link.
Do not lose it. It is the only way you can download each lesson set.
You are only able to click on the link up to 9 times. Therefore, try to download all of the lessons at one time and then save them on your computer. That way you will always have them. Each lesson set has a real conversation, a vocabulary lesson and a mini-story lesson for you to listen to. And we've also included the text for each of these, in case you want to read along as you listen. All lessons in a set have the same name. These lessons go together.
You will listen to only one set for a week or more. This is very important.
You will only improve quickly if you follow this method-- one lesson set everyday- the same lesson set every day for a week or more. What kind of lessons are in each set, and how should you use them? Do not "study" it. Don't try to memorize it.
Just read it a couple of times each day and review new words. Use a dictionary to translate difficult words, if necessary. Don't try to memorize the words.
First time, just listen. Then, listen and pause after each question.
Answer each question loudly in English, then play again. Don't worry if you don't understand everything. Don't worry about mistakes.
Just speak how you normally do. So that was the first step, we recorded all these conversations, Kristen and Joe and I. And especially Kristen and Joe, I have to admit. They did most of the lessons. They did most of the work. Thank you, Kristen and Joe. Kristen, Joe and I recorded all of these conversations.
Next, we got the transcripts. So, in other words, we got text for these conversations. So we give you the text for those conversations so that you can read.
But if you look in a dictionary you often will not find that phrase. And, of course, there are a lot more idioms that are a lot more difficult than that. So you learn this vocabulary, these idioms, the slang, very deeply using the mini- stories.
And so in this way you learn the casual conversational English that native speakers use every day with each other and you learn it using our system. And you learn it using, you know, real people, not actors and real conversations, not planned, not written first.
